Yukon Denali Diesel to Start at $1,500 Less than 6.2L V8

Starting at $68,195, the Yukon Denali fitted with the 3.0-liter Duramax Diesel engine will ring in at $1,500 less than the Yukon Denali powered by GM’s 6.2-liter, gas-powered V8.

The Duramax will make 277 hp and a might 460 lb-ft of torque. It can only be paired with GM’s 10-speed Automatic transmission. The 6.2, meanwhile makes the same amount of torque, but 420 hp.

The Denali Duramax will, presumably, come with some significant fuel-saving. At 24 mpg combined, the diesel easily out sips the 6.2, which is rated at 17 mpg combined.

Hopefully, the diesel will attract some of the more cost-conscious GMC customers.
